Little Bread Company…Saving the World Naturally, One bite at a Time

Our highlight story of the week comes from one of our partners from Fayetteville, Arkansas…LITTLE BREAD COMPANY. Here is their story, enjoy!

This little community bakery is the place where anyone is welcome, we’re on a first name basis with most of our customers, and everything is made right here.

Our relationships with local farmers keep us in quality seasonal ingredients and we’re serious about making sure that local, artisan, and fresh is the way we feed our community.  Our hard-working staff enjoys playing with new flavors and we take pride in everything we mix, shape and assemble by hand here on Block Street…

When Ben and Hannah built their very first wholesale kitchen in 2001, they had no idea that someday their little bread bakery would turn into a fast paced, hopping little joint that would offer a variety of dozens of made-from-scratch items a day, employ a team of wonderful people, and serve their community as a hot spot of activity & love.
We wouldn’t have it any other way… thanks for letting us feed you

Nothing from a box.
Everything made right. Here.

Everyone has their favorite community spot. Here you get great people, service, music, and most importantly, food.

You’ll never eat anywhere else.
Ever. Again.

❝This place tastes like love.
What could be better than that?

Coffee Origin Trip to Costa Rica

We have just confirmed that we will be heading on a coffee
origin trip in 2013.  We will be visiting La Minita, one of the farms we have a direct relationship with in Costa Rica. This coffee estate is located in the picturesque landscape of the Tarrazu region in central Costa Rica. The coffee that is produced from this farm is considered by experts to be among the very best in the world.

This farm supports the local community by paying significantly higher wages than other growers, housing for workers and their families, medical and dental clinics at no cost, and children receiving assistance for education.  La Minita Farms is committed to no herbicide and pesticide use, along with the coffee processing mill utilizing renewable and non-polluting power.

We cannot wait to share our experience with you!

Coffee at War Eagle Mill

War Eagle Mill

We were proud to be a part of the War Eagle Mill Craft and Culinary Fair on October 18th-20th, 2012.  We were able to educate thousands of people on Mountain Bird Coffee and Tea Company and what sets us apart from other coffee companies.  What is it you ask??  Here you go:

  • 100% Arabica, shade grown coffees sourced DIRECT FROM FARMS that we have relationships with
  • Sustainable practices from farm to cup
  • We start with the highest quality green coffee beans to ensure the perfect cup of coffee each and every time
  • ALL workers on the farm are paid a living wage, not just the co-op like Fair Trade–We go beyond!
