Steve, the founder of Mountain Bird Coffee Company began his love for artisan crafted roasts when he bought his first bag at Ozark Natural Foods in the 1970’s.  He began roasting coffees at home for his family and friends searching for the perfect cup.  In his pursuit, he attended the Specialty Coffee Association of America conference where he began the process to become a certified professional roaster.

What began as a journey to develop a superior cup of coffee led him to start Mountain Bird Coffee Company in 2009.  Today, Mountain Bird Coffee Company is a family-owned gourmet coffee roaster located in the majestic Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. 

Mountain Bird Coffee Company's mission is to ensure the highest quality coffee and customer service while supporting sustainable practices and social responsibility.  This mission is the driving force behind our decisions in grean bean sourcing, roasting, and packaging.  Mountain Bird Coffees are roasted with our own unique roasting profiles that bring out the peak flavor in every bean.
